• Good verbal and written communication skills

Job Description :
• Managing the entire network.
• Monitoring, trouble-shooting and managing various network devices (routers, core and edge switches, passive LAN and WAN equipment, modems, ADSL devices etc.
• Excellent knowledge of Cisco IOS, CATOS.
• Understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP).
• Configuration of L2 VLANS on the switch.
• Advanced knowledge of GRE, VPN tunneling technology.
• Advanced Knowledge of Layer 2 protocols and features.
• Understanding of the architecture of the following switching platforms; Cisco 3750, 4500 and 6500's.
• Understanding of the architecture of the following routing platforms; Cisco 2811, 3640.
• Configuration of OSPF and Static routes on the router. (Knowledge of OSPF routing protocol)
• Must have Bridging and switching concepts, LAN technologies such as Ethernet-CSMA/CD.
• Monitoring various network devices on critical parameters to ensure performance and availability.
• Suggest improvement initiatives to make effective use of the bandwidth by measuring the bandwidth consumption of different applications over a period of time. Use the same data to profile behavior of the business applications on the network
• Liaise with the network service provider to ensure problems in any of the links are promptly resolved, follow-up for new links and escalate in case of any delays.
• Experience in ITIL processes management.
