Job Description :
This position is responsible for Design, Configuration and Implementation of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP11) in a large environment. Strong Knowledge and Experience in creating Antivirus, Live Update, Intrusion Prevention, Firewall and centralized exceptions policies, etc. This also includes, Antivirus application upgrades, virus definition updates for Windows based clients and servers across all Kennametal global sites. Additional responsibilities include proactive monitoring of virus issues, to be single point of contact for any virus outbreaks and troubleshooting through a detailed root cause analysis for effective resolution. This position is expected to keep abreast with the latest antivirus technological trends and provide future recommendations for any possible leveraging for the organization to be in par with the industry. Minimal day-to-day supervision is required and will involve working in shifts.
Skills :
• Should have an experience in Design, Configuration and implementation of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP11) in large environment.
• Strong knowledge on troubleshooting virus issues such as Virus Outbreaks and new virus.
• Experience in reporting and log analysis using Symantec Endpoint Management console.
• Strong knowledge on Creating Antirivus, Live Update, Application and Device control,Intrusion Prevention, Firewall and Centralized Exceptions policies etc.
• Should have good experience in identifying the root cause of the virus outbreaks.
• Checking regular synchronization and monitoring to ensure signatures are updated for clients and serves.
• Should have experience on Symantec Endpoint Support Tool to diagnose common issues encountered with Endpoint Protection.
• Good at resolving Communication and Replication issues between SEP Management servers.
• Good knowledge on Registry, TCP/IP, FileMon, RegMon and other Forensics tools. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in Identify the new virus on the network by using advanced tools and submitting the files to Symantec for the fix.
• Experience in Incident response, security monitoring, log management, intrusion detection systems and documentation.
