Desired Candidate Profile :
• Should have experience in Checkpoint Firewalls
• Should have experience in Cisco products
• Should have experience in Juniper
• Ability to resolve 2nd and 3rd level Network infrastructure support calls on components like Cisco, switches, routers, Juniper and Checkpoint Firewalls.
• Full understanding of fundamental concepts in Network Infrastructure, Internet and Firewalls
• Experience of documenting systems
• Minimum 4 years experience (depending on qualifications) in supporting LANs, WANs, Firewalls and Internet Infrastructure
• Familiarity with the support, configuration and monitoring of a large Wide Area Network
• Experience of router configuration and routing protocols
• Must have a broad knowledge in the following areas of technology; networks / telecommunications; desktops / servers; mainframe / mid range computing; messaging / Internet (e-); enterprise management systems; data management
• Administration level certification, e.g. CCNA or CCSA
• A Graduate in any stream or higher
• Exposure to WEB environments in Data Centers
• Able to train junior team members / colleagues on various Datacom Technologies
• Experience of VLAN's, and VPNs
• Familiarity with IT Security issues and Business Continuity Management

Job Description :
• Ability to administer, configure, manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure equipment including Cisco, switches, routers, Juniper and Checkpoint Firewalls.
• Ability to administer internet access control applications, Web-sense
• Ability to develop sound relationships with service team leaders, other IT functions and customers
• Ability to update skills and knowledge relating to future trends in Datacoms technology and industry standards
• Excellent problem solving and planning skills, a flexible approach with good verbal and written English communication skills
• Quick Learner
• Ability to take a structured, methodical, disciplined approach to procedures
• Understanding of ITIL standards.
