3. Division/ Department Overview:

IT is centralized in a single division since begin of 2006 and is providing its services to all front and other shared services divisions. One central IT Division with people in 64 different legal entities globally.

 

IT Investment Banking

IT Investment Banking partners with the Investment Bank to deliver integrated and innovative front to back technology solutions, drawing on expertise from across the full spectrum of products: debt and equity underwriting, sales and trading, mergers and acquisitions, investment re-search, correspondent and prime brokerage services as well as solutions for Credit Suisse's Alternative Investment business including the hedge fund of funds.

 

 

4. Department Overview

CRO IT provides Information Technology solutions and support for the Chief Risk Office Division, comprising of:

- Risk Management & Measurement (RMM)

- Credit Risk Management (CRM) and

- Strategic Risk Management (SRM)

Market Risk IT comprises about 65% of Risk IT, with about 95 staff distributed in London, New York, Singapore, Zurich and Pune. Most roles are application development with developers also rotating on support.   In addition to serving the CRO function, Market Risk IT also covers systems for Operational Risk, Reputational Risk and Risk Portals for other Divisions.

Description

Performance Indicators

§   .Net development for a C# WPF GUI.

§   Awareness of and flexibility to adapt to new technologies.

§   Reviewing and implementing the recommendations of the London based architecture team.

§   Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and to communicate them effectively in discussions with colleagues.

§   Defining and implementing unit tests and assisting in the production of milestone builds for review by the project steering committee.

§   Strong analytical and problem solving skills

§     Close liaison with the following teams will be required:

• The London based project lead, database and java architects.

• The GUI development team (and London based GUI designer).

• The Singapore based QA testing team and associated London QA lead.

§   Precision of expression using spoken and written English

1st / 2.1 or equivalent degree in a numerate, engineering, scientific or computer science discipline from a reputable university

Essential:

At least 3 years experience as a Microsoft developer with at least 18 month of hands-on active WPF development.

Essential:
• Silvetlite tools for windows or .Net 3.0 (or later)

• Web Application Development using C#

• Interpersonal Skills

• Oral and Written Communication

• Problem Solving

Desirable:

• Higher degree in IT related field (e.g. MCA)

• Relevant technical certification (e.g. MCPD – Microsoft Certified Professional Developer)

Desirable:
Financial industry related experience

Desirable:
• Exposure to development using formalized architectural patterns e.g. MVVM, MVP, and MVC.

• Exposure to multi-tiered heterogeneous systems

• Exposure to formal Continuous integration tools, e.g. CruiseControl .Net

• Unit testing frameworks e.g. NUnit

Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and to communicate them effectively in highly interactive discussions with colleagues.
