Skills & Experience:
-2 - 7 years of Unix/Linux support experience in a large production environment.
-Very good Unix skills
-Excellent communication skills
-Daily operational support of UNIX and Storage Servers including OS Installation/ upgrade, System performance monitoring, hardware diagnostics.
-Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues
-Remote administration of servers
-Printer & FTP Administration & Troubleshooting
-Writing shell scripts for day to day system administration task
-Fine tune system for optimal performance
-Knowledge of SAN and NAS technologies
-Knowledge of Oracle database will be added advantage
-Any enterprise Backup & recovery tool experience.
Education:
Bachelors degree - preferably in CS/ECE/EE/Instrumentation engineering or MCA.
Certifications
Preferred - RHCE, Sun Solaris Cerified, CCNA, ITIL, Netapp, Netbackup.
