Job Description :

SUMMARY :
• The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for all troubleshooting, maintenance of existing DMZ, WAN, LAN, WLAN and VPN communications as well as recommending and designing solution around these.
• Provide availability of network services 24X7 for running the business
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Provide technical expertise and platform leadership in areas of WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN and Firewall technologies, as well as integration to telephony.
• Configure, implement, and troubleshoot a variety of networking Hardware/Software
• Products, including: VPN Concentrators, Firewalls, Routers, WLAN and Switches, Packetshaper, IPS/IDS etc.
• Proactively manage the service and security requirements of these systems to an average of 99.999% uptime.
• On-Going Review of organization wide networking Infrastructure.
• Adherence to information security policies and keep necessary documentation updated for audits.
• Project Planning and documentation
• Assist in the management of other data, server and security systems as dictated by the environment.
• Second/Third-Level Help Desk Ticket Resolution, including supporting the business 7x24x365 and on-call support as needed.
• Perform advanced monitoring and reporting related to network systems.
• Develop tactical and strategic plans, standards, guidelines and policies for the network resources based on growth, trends, available metrics, etc.
• Coordinate change planning and formal change control process to systems in order to eliminate customer impact and to ensure that availability SLA's are met.
• Adherence to time and metric's tracking.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
• Related Work Experience: 4 - 8 years
• Minimum 4 Years of Experience is required with Cisco VPN Concentrators,
• Firewalls, Routers, WLAN, Switches, and Load balancers
• Strong hands-on routing knowledge of network/internet protocols/services such as SONET, ATM, Frame-Relay, MPLS, DS3, T1, GigE, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, DNS, IPSec, and NAT
• Experience with Network documentation and monitoring tools such as: Orion, Nagios
• Network Node Manager, Solarwinds, MRTG/PRTG and Cisco Works, Experience with Telephony is must
• Knowledge of electronic data transmission principles, LAN networks, routing fundamentals, business applications, DMZ design and troubleshooting techniques is essential.
• Knowledge of standard cabling technologies such as UTP (Category 3, 5, 5e and 6), Fiber Optic (single mode, multimode), and Coaxial.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 2000/2003 Server or Higher.
• Should have the Ability to Work Independently and be Able to Establish Priorities.
• Must have Excellent Troubleshooting and Communication Skills.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced dynamic and growing IT environment and the flexibility to work with a wide range of technologies.
• Good Organizational and team building skills
Educational Qualifications :
• Bachelor's Degree
• Type of Credentials/Licenses: CCNP/CCNA
• Work Experience: 6-8 years
• Prefer 5+ years of experience as a Sr. Network Administrator or Sr. Network
