Senior Software Engineer â€" Implementation and Testing:

Location: Bangalore, India

Job Responsibilities
• Quality Assurance of HiQube product. Write detailed Test Plans; develop test conditions; identify manual/automated test procedures for various functions and applications; record and track software defects through in-house bug tracking tool.
• Understand the customer requirements. Work with implementation team in designing the effective BI solution using HiQube product. Responsible for quality BI solution delivery to the customer.

• Collaborate with US development team. Participate in regular product meetings pertaining to the entire software development process with the intent of extracting and implementing quality assurance requirements
• Standardize, document and implement an effective QA process. Apply best practices in quality assurance of software products, implement delivering projects on time, on budget, and with good quality
• .Be adaptive. Be productive quickly in a new environment that is fast paced. Learn new processes and multiple technologies. “Roll up your sleeves†and do what needs doing.


Experience/Qualifications

The candidate should be a results-oriented person with the following skills:
• 4+ years work experience in BI product suite with strong knowledge in
o ETL
o Data Model Design
o Report and Analysis

• Well experienced in Business Intelligent, Enterprise or web application testing.
• Strong experience with SQL or any of the relational database management tool
• Any scripting/programming language knowledge
• Exposure in product implementation is added advantage
• Full understanding of the entire SDLC.
• Exposure in automation testing using any automation testing tool like QTP, Silk, Rational etc
• Detailed oriented and processes the ability to work independently and/or with little supervision in a fast paced results driven environment
• Exposure to multiple OS platforms - Windows (variants), Unix (variants)
• Ability to identify, writes, and executes the test cases on various platforms.
• Strong communication skills (verbal/written) - the ability to articulate clearly and succinctly to a variety of audiences (PMs, Technical Specialists, Developers, Architects, etc)
• BE /MCA or equivalent degree holder.
