Job Position : Tech Support Engineer

Job Description :
• Should be a graduate or a Diploma holder with total experience of 2 to 5 years
• Minimum 2+ years of Experience as Sr. Desktop Engineer
• Minimum 1+ year of Experience in consolidation activities
• Certifications like MCP, MCSA, MSCE, A+, N+ is a plus
• Should be good with Written and spoken Linguistics. Inter personnel skills are must.
• Should be ready to work in rotational shifts. Late evening shits will imply.

Key Responsibilities :
• Manage Desktop / laptop /Server Hardware & Software installation and monitoring
• Experienced in Rack Moutable Server Installation in Rack, Rack Shifting and remounting of servers.
• Provide High level support to Windows OS - From 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008, Windows 7, 2008 R2 to latest versions.
• Provide high level support to Microsoft products like MS-Office, Exchange Client - Ms Outlook, etc.
• Provide services / support for hardware and software related to Servers, Networking infra, DB, Server Client applications, etc.
• Having experience on SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, configuring web applications is a plus
• Experienced in working into Active Directory environment
• Experienced in lan cabling and cable management.
• Knowledge of EPABX will be a plus
• Must be able to troubleshoot issues with Windows server and clients
• Good Understanding of Networking technology - LAN/WAN
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server Products viz. IIS, DNS, Exchange, etc. is a plus
• Familiar with remote operations of Servers using remote tools like terminal services, teamviewer, vnc, etc.
• Knowledge of third party applications, Symantec End Point Security, Symantec Backup Exec 13.
• Change Control for Application Software:
• Familiar with a professional, orderly change control process
• Can perform migrations from migration documents while ensuring proper roll back capabilities are in place
• Good practices in Desktop management.
• Good understanding of networks, Lease lines, DIA, DSL, Routing, Switching, Firewall Proxies.
• Co-ordinate with Network vendors for link down issues and followup for the same.
• Co-ordinate with Hardware Vendors and follow up for replacements and or troubleshooting of faults.
