Job Description :
• 3 – 8+ years experience; Oracle Development for extremely large database; SQL and PL/SQL; 10g+ Experience; SQL troubleshooting and tuning; Stored Procedures; DBA capability; In-depth Database Tuning and optimization; Good communication and documentation; Self Starter
Duties and Responsibilities :
• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system.
• Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance.
• To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
• Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
Skills / Attributes Required :
• Proven Oracle Database Administration experience.
• SQL and PL/SQL Hand On experience
• Experience of managing multiple RDBMS on large systems
• Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service.
• Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
• Experience of other database systems, preferably SQL Server
• Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security
• Oracle Certification, preferably OCP
Education Criteria :
• 1st preference BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MCA
• 2nd preference BSc/BCS/BCA/Msc/MCS/MCM/Bcom.Mcom
• 3rd preference 10+2+Diploma
• 10+Diploma = NOT ELIGIBLE
